WELCOME
Welcome to the South Lancs Branch of the Motor Neurone Disease Association
Our branch exists solely to support everyone in our local community affected by Motor Neurone Disease (MND) – including those living with the condition, as well as their carers, families, friends, and anyone whose life has been touched by MND.
We host regular support meetings on the 3rd Wednesday of each month at 7:30pm, held at Blackbrook Rugby and Recreational Club, 64 Boardmans Lane, St. Helens, WA11 9BB. These evenings are a chance to connect with others affected by MND, share experiences, and simply enjoy a friendly chat and a cup of tea. Everyone is welcome.
In addition to offering support, our branch is committed to raising awareness and vital funds. We run a variety of events throughout the year, with incredible backing from local individuals and organisations. The money raised helps us directly support people living with MND and contributes to research efforts aimed at understanding the disease and developing effective treatments. Every event we hold helps shine a light on MND and the realities of living with it.
We’re a volunteer-run branch, many of whom have personal experience of MND. We’re always happy to hear from people who would like to get involved, whether that’s helping at events or playing a role in the running of the branch.
